- Save the file. - Open it using winrar, or winzip (Both a free to download if you happen to not have them.) - You can either "Extract to" or be lazy like me and drag the GWMultiLaunch Folder to somewhere. (I usually drag it to my desktop) - Close winzip/winrar, and go to the GWMultiLaunch folder and open it up. - Take the time to look over the readme.txt - Open up GWMultiLaunch (It's a purple icon), and click "Add". - Locate your gw.exe. "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" is normally where it is. - Make a new folder somewhere name it GW2 or something, go back to GWML, select the first copy of GW, hit "Make Copy" button. If you're running vista, you might have to right click - run as administrator. |

Forget GWML, I'm using Tankur's tutorial.
I get to the part where I must save the .reg file, but it won't save. "cannot save to <insert file location here>, make sure the file name and path are correct." It's in ";s and has double \\'s |

Vista is retarded with .dat files. Run as admin fixed it for people in the GWML because it actually copied the file. Most likely it's treating the other .dat as a shortcut or the same one.

This is turning into a "my multi-launcher is better than yours" thread. Let's stop that, eh?
The basic principle of all multi-launchers is having two folders, preferably not in C:\Program Files\ Let's say you have a nice, simple folder called games, directly off of root - C:\Games\, ok? In this folder, you would have your original Guild Wars installation (C:\Games\Guild Wars\) and a brand new one that you're going to invent called, for the sake of simplicity, C:\Games\Guild Wars2. You need to copy gw.exe and gw.dat from the original folder to the new one, then run the multi-loader of your choice and point it in the direction of the two (or more) folders. That's it. Unless you're running gwx2, in which case you will have to copy gw.exe from the original folder every time there's an update. Oops. Sorry.

Copying Gw and replacing Guild Wars instances takes no more than a minute, so I don't mind it.

Ok i'm so confused with GWML. I have no idea how to get it to work. I tried clicking on the tech link but it says the bandwith is exceeded.
